My name is Hannah Moritmore, and I feel incredibly proud to be the Principal of this special kura. Rangiuru is a place that is hard to describe until you experience it. There is something unique about the way our tamariki learn, play, and connect here that truly reflects the strength of our rural community.
At Rangiuru School, every child is known and valued. I love that I can walk around the school and know each child, what they enjoy, and what makes them shine. Building strong relationships sits at the heart of what we do, creating a sense of belonging where tamariki feel confident, supported, and ready to learn.
Alongside this, we have a strong focus on academic progress and achievement. We are committed to ensuring every child reaches their full potential through high quality teaching and well structured literacy and numeracy programmes. Our experienced and passionate kaiako use assessment and responsive teaching to support each learner, providing the right level of challenge and support so they can succeed.
Learning at Rangiuru is both purposeful and engaging. We believe tamariki learn best when they are actively involved, so alongside our strong classroom programmes, learning often extends beyond the classroom. Whether it is exploring our bush area, working in the garden, feeding the chickens, or making the most of our wide open spaces, these experiences help bring learning to life and build confident, capable learners.
Rangiuru is a place where children are happy, learning is meaningful, and every child is supported to thrive both academically and personally. It is a school I am truly proud to be part of, and I always enjoy sharing what makes it so special.
