Our school does not have a zone!
Did you know that you do not have to choose the school you are "zoned for"?
All children from the wider Te Puke district are welcome at Rangiuru School, and transport too and from school is easily organised for your child, as we have our own private bus!

We have our own bus!
Our bus travels through Te Puke and the wider area, from Wilson Road in Paengaroa, all through the Te Puke township. Having our own bus makes heading out on school trips a breeze too!

We are a small rural school with small class sizes. At present our average class size is 15 students! Our Year 0-2 is our smallest class, allowing our littlest tamariki to get the extra care and attention they need when settling in to a new environment.
Our teachers know their students well and strive to help them succeed in all learning areas. Smaller class sizes allow teachers to give more individual attention to students and this means that the quality of teaching improves!

We are a unique rural school with country and outdoor values. We pride ourselves on providing our tamariki with outdoor, hands on learning opportunities, where they can learn about and enjoy the outdoor environment. A highlight is our native bush area, wide open spaces and plentiful gardens!

Easy transition to school for new entrants!
New enrolments to Rangiuru School are invited for introductory visits in the weeks prior to starting school.
They will become familiar with our school environment, peers, and teacher.
We also have local ECE and Kindy's visiting our school twice a term with their 4 year olds to interact with our students and teachers, and get involved in gardening, science, nature play, cooking, art and other exciting activities!
We are a small, tight knit community who all work together to provide the absolute best for our tamariki. We love having whanau involved with their child's learning and welcome any passions/strengths you'd like to share. We also love getting involved in the local community, and doing our part for the environment!

At Rangiuru School we strive to provide our students with a variety of engaging and exciting learning experiences, both in and out of the classroom. A lot of what we do is focussed around our natural and local environment and our Garden to Table, Bush Classroom and MOWS programmes.

At Rangiuru School, our Year 7 and 8 students are given the opportunity to step into leadership in a meaningful and supported way.
Our intermediate class provides a space where senior students can grow in confidence, independence, and responsibility, while still benefiting from the close, supportive environment of a small rural school. With smaller class sizes, our teachers know each learner well and are able to challenge and support them to achieve their full academic potential through strong literacy and numeracy programmes.
Student leadership is a key part of this journey. Our senior students take on authentic roles across the school, including ambassadors, sports leaders, and kaitiaki, supporting younger students and contributing to the wider life of the kura. Leadership at Rangiuru is about action, service, and making a positive difference.
At Rangiuru, our Year 7 and 8 students are not just preparing for the next step, they are leading the way.
